My 2010 Predictions

by Ronald on January 11, 2010

People, especially the younger generation are going to be more personal and intimate online. Think of DailyBooth, foursquare, Gowalla. The idea of sharing not only who you are, but now where you are will be the norm.

Vlogging and video content are going to explode. One way or another, it’s easy to create and publish video. You have computers that come with a webcam as a standard feature now.  You also have new sets of point and shoot camcorders available for under $200. On top of that, there will be new phones will follow the iPhone 3GS and offer seamless video recording and uploading.

Sharing content will just get easier. Digg. Delicious. Twitter has retweets. Tumblr has reblog. It’s only a matter of time before other platforms will follow suit.

For those who don’t know how to filter out the information noise, this will also be a year (and maybe decade) of information overflow. This will bring rise to more curators or even curating systems (like Alltop) to help manage this problem.
